Jon/"Stephen" stories: "Stephen" is code for Colbert in-character - the host of The Colbert Report. All of these are humour, extremely short, and would be preslash if they weren't kind of too cracky.
- Prey Mentality by
sailorptah. "Stephen" POV. The one where Jon Stewart's hotness is sexually harrassing him. - Ratings by
roadstergal. The one where "Stephen" wants to use gay sex as a publicity stunt. - Birds of a Feather, by
mercuriazs. The one where "Stephen"'s pet bald eagle has two daddies. - The Strange and Not Entirely Ineffective Courting of Jon Stewart by Stephen T. Colbert, by Sparky77. The one where "Stephen" issues a public denial that Jon is going to be his running mate.
- How Stephen Colbert Proved Jon Stewart is a Lady, by
sarken, in which "Stephen" proves logically that Jon is a woman because he smells good. And courts him.
Jon/Stephen stories: stories about out-of-character Colbert are harder to come by. All of these are completely inexplicit vignettes of a few hundred words. For the first, you have to join
- Trust, by
foureyedsnail. About 300 words of banter with the first line, “Do you trust me?” - Schools of Thought, by
sigarilyo. A well-executed 100-word drabble. - Breaking the Law, by
nm_317. In which it is illegal to flirt in New York City, but Stephen does it anyway.
Another set probably forthcoming after
Shoes from modcloth.com, Not Rated, asos.com, Faith, and Steve Madden
Granted, the boots are kind of hideous, but also mesmerisingly eye-catching, and the piping and cutout detail is kind of cool. They could be used to good effect in a costume, maybe.
(ETA:The Steve Maddens are near-exact ripoffs of Topshop shoes posted here two seasons ago in red, I think it was. It should be noted that at the same time, big wide-heeled mjs with a metal ring round the bottom of the heel had trickled as far down as New Look, having been actually DESIGNED at Chloé like... three years ago? And I just now saw a copy of them at delias.com, though not an exact one. That's right - delia's:even further down the chain of knockoffs than Steve Madden. Apparently, they're about two steps - okay, unfair, 10 steps - above Wal-Mart and pretty far behind Target.)
crime procedurals this week, part 1
6 Nov 2008 10:37 pmI was hoping for more Hotch/Rossi in this week's Criminal Minds. I didn't really get any, but the first scene, at least, was pretty awesome. There wasn't much interpersonal development in this case, aside from Morgan giving Reid his brotherly advice; the rest was given over to Reid's internal storyline. Past instances of that on the show have come out really annoying, but I love Matthew Gray Gubler and his acting, and I also really dig his mom. So all in all, this was a plus. Also... lol, JJ is really pregnant. Come on, CM! More Hotch/Rossi!
In Bones non-news, I love Sweets THIS much. Less expectedly, I actually kind of like his girlfriend. Back to the non-news, the Hodgins/Angela storyline is staggeringly stupid right now.
