arashi daily
1 Dec 2006 12:25 amwhen arashi's two most shamelessly spoilt, incurably superior and thoroughly sarcastic members are teamed up to do a bunch of infomercials, what could the results possibly be but sheer crack, jun the housewife, and nino flinging tables of edamame beans?
i love the dynamics of jun and nino together (i kind of want to stick them both in something horrible and muddy so we can see them whining, scowling and complaining simultaneously). that's why a whole scene will be lovingly devoted to nino's introduction to the royal crown princess jun in the crack au in which ohno is a sheikh and sho is his bodyguard and nino is the hapless musician sho kidnaps for ohno because he sees him staring covetously at him in the airport.

Date: 1 Dec 2006 10:13 am (UTC):(( i know! sho takes care of Leader! it's his self-appointed (even if also, as a bodyguard, paid) job!
:X:X:X:X remember the mago where ohno falls asleep on bales of hay and sho goes bowling and then drinks beer and eats watermelon? and the chicken farm one where ohno runs in and flings himself at sho and grabs his arms like "öaljfdöa!!" and sho's like "what! what is it! baby, what's wrong?!!!"
♥♥♥
i capped another sho & ohno episode last night where the grandpa hadn't called the grandmother by her first name in like their entire 40 years of marriage. XD

Date: 4 Dec 2006 07:37 am (UTC)where is the dating-service arashi AU? where arashi is like, the Storm of Love Agency, and they're matchmakers, and they advise presents and such and such. it's sho and ohno and matsujun and aiba, and they each have their specialities--sho generally runs the business/accounting side of things, jun and aiba are usually the main actual match-makers, but ohno is something of a secret weapon, or possibly a counsellor of some kind?
but one day, possibly both jun and aiba are unavailable but they've set up a meeting and they ask ohno if he thinks he can manage it for them, and it's not that they don't trust his abilities--but they don't. XD ohno is good with other people, definitely, but he's not necessarily as capable of smoothing over poor situations as jun and aiba are.
and this one day, of course, nino is one of the people who is at the meeting.
to be honest, they've tried to make a match for nino several times by now, but nino is quite particular, and the woman he's supposed to meet is late, so at first he has the feeling that he's entered an alternate universe where a matchmaking agency would set up gay matches as well. he finds that he likes ohno much more than any of the women they've been setting him up with. ♥
but of course, you know--that's against the rules on all counts! well, not that they've had any specific rules per se; sho doesn't really see the clients, aiba isn't one you have to worry about, jun has a very strong principle that you never date someone who needs a matchmaking service, and ohno, well. usually with ohno, the worry is that the ones he seems to attract are all--older. and vaguely creepy! so they all kind of huddle around him, but here's nino, young, sarcastic, talented, etc--but also a client.
at first they must not realize that he likes ohno, just that he keeps requesting that ohno be his mediator/matchmaker person. at first, from the end of the agency, the others start to realize that ohno, in his own way, is showing all the signs of falling for nino: he talks about nino all the time, he looks happier when nino is mentioned, etc etc.
jun is the one that has to have a talk with ohno about it, "captain, you know that you can't fall for our clients. maybe i'd better take the next meeting." and that is when they realize it maybe isn't one-sided; jun is positive nino and ohno haven't done anything yet about their feelings, but he's also positive that nino is now just using their services to get closer to ohno.
possibly nino asks for ohno's number on some fabricated excuse, and jun, coolly, says, "it's against company policy to give out personal numbers; you can reach him through the agency" etc etc.

Date: 4 Dec 2006 11:52 am (UTC)well, although it is a LITTLE unprofessional to date clients, though, i mean - it's not like he's a psychotherapist or something. there wouldn't be stockholm syndrome or danger of manipulating him or power problems or anything, and once you settle down with someone you wouldn't have to use the service anymore, so i'm saying - i don't see any reason why they'd have to be ALL THAT upset by the mere idea of it. i'm thinking their reluctance is motivated more by a desire to protect ohno than anything else and the rule is kind of an excuse. nino seems to be really interested, jun sees that, which reassures him but only slightly - because you know, ohno is the kind who needs protecting, and he's so sweet and earnest and they're all worried by how unselfconsciously nino-oriented he's become!

Date: 4 Dec 2006 03:34 pm (UTC)though possibly nino's parents would be fine with that, too. they just want him to settle down! (i can't imagine nino would use a dating service or marriage service on his own accord.)
