Wax went to a party last night. She said she was going to come home soon cause she hates parties, but then all her other workmates didn't show up out of spite and she had to stay to keep the birthday girl from feeling bad and I had time to spend 4 hours putting together an Amber picspam and watch Persuasion.

Wax was surprised to discover that her schoolgirl outfit combining Umbrella Academy¹ with Harry Potter² was perceived as hot by a bunch of guys who kept hitting on her. Apparently someone not very well-versed in the fine art of diplomacy told her "I didn't know you could look hot". Nice.




1. Harlequin vest fortuitously and improbably picked up at Lindex, which is usually a monument to dowdiness teeming with unfortunate two-years-ago trends and mediocre fit

2. My best white blouse and Gryffindor tie - she's so lazy that she actually doesn't own a white blouse of her own
