5. A/N: So, I wrote this about a year ago, entered it into a Scholarship contest, and, since I didn't get anything, I can publish this freely. It's been re-worked to include bandom (it might just have been wittier and funnier with the footnotes from the original, but they were incompadible with the internets, so they were edited out).

At a NaNo meetup once there was a girl talking about how she would write original fiction, then just change the names and post it as Harry Potter fanfic. I wanted to cry.

Is it wrong of me to want a challenge based on your headers? (With, like, character names swappable, so that someone could write a story about Arthur Pendragon's middle name being Arthur, or whatever.) Please tell me that's not wrong.

I've thought about doing that a lot - I have a huge supply of them now. I don't have the, like, PR abilities to run a challenge-fest thing, though.

Do it do it do it do it do it! And I have no idea what PR abilities are required, but you could recruit someone with them, surely? It's a noble cause!

I don't have the skills (or drive) for the recruitment part, either, I'm afraid. I have the kind of personality that kills can-do spirit and community feeling in a small radius around me! It will not be unless I someday happen across a plausible ally.
