Who would you want to play you in the movie of your life? (Is this a meme already?)

>> it's one of the rare questions I'd be interested in seeing as a meme. Also I have a short attention span so a one-question meme is pretty ideal. I tend to picture my r/flist acquaintances on the basis of the icons they use unless they post pictures of themselves a lot.

So I picture aynatonal and phineasjones as themselves, but I picture cesare as Zoe Deschanel, copracat and dana_kujan both as Scully!Gillian Anderson, aeslis as Namie Amuro (even though I do know what she looks like!), ciderpress as Michaela Conlin, jennaria as Labyrinth!Jennifer Connelly, brownbetty as Wonder Woman (...?). Amusingly enough, I tend to picture mecurtin and torachan both as their cartoon-self default icons, and it's quite odd to picture someone as a South Park character (though maybe no odder than picturing them as comic book WW).


Your choice doesn't have to look like you. They can represent the inner you or the acceptable default-lj-icon you, or whatever.

I have actually found myself looking at pictures of Zooey Deschanel and thinking, "Wow, she really looks like Ces there...WAIT." It's really ingrained!

And once I saw pics of a friend who had recently been using a Snape icon a lot, and while I was perfectly aware that she was female and had blonde curly hair, there was still a moment of dissonance because even if I hadn't really been expecting Alan Rickman, it felt weird to see blonde hair instead of dark.

Oh man, no way, she is WAY too pretty and femme and womanly and... French. I love her but am incapable of identifying with pictures of her for that reason and have thus never uploaded any of the beautiful icons of her I've downloaded, sigh. Also I can't really identify with any woman who has breasts, LOL.

Also you could play me if you want. I mean I know you are tall and statuesque and have perfect skin, but at least you're of Ashkenazi descent and you totally have the hair. Your nose is more familiar than Natalie Portman's too! And the whole 'much more attractive' thing also applies with actors too, so.

I've never been able to answer this question. Even in my better days I didn't really look like anyone. But if I could pick someone who doesn't have to look anything like me, I'd probably go with Kirsten Vangsness. Or Cillian Murphy in drag.

I know what you mean about connecting f-listers and their icons, though. The results are pretty hilarious sometimes. :D

Hmm, that would work. They can dye her hair a smidge darker and cut it slightly shorter! She would be very cute dressed in your sparkly black and pink wardrobe!

As for whom I'd have play me... I only know Japanese actresses these days, so I don't know if I can even answer that. I guess part of me would want to say Toda Erika (also, icon) because I think she's gorgeous and that we're somewhat alike personality-wise, but I've also been told that I look a lot like Becky and admittedly I adore her to bits.

Of course, they're both Asian, and I am not... (Well, Becky is half, anyway.)

In an ideal world where I weighed what I ought to weigh-- so, the world of movies, I guess-- Thora Birch would be a pretty good match. Though even if I were thin I wouldn't have her killer rack, so, eh.

When she was a child actor my family noticed that she looked a bit like I did at the same age.

Yeah, no, no resemblance between self and Sarah/Jennifer. (Wow, why do I not have that icon over here? Must fix that.) I'd love to look like that, but no. (The irony is that there's still a little part of my brain that thinks I do/should look like that, at least as per body image. Reality? What's that?)
