cimoreneAt one point I tried out brilliant red hair using Manic Panic. This was when I was deep in the grip of depression, undiagnosed social anxiety, medication that had horrible side-effects without actually helping the depression and anxiety, and stress. So the best existing photo record is this driver's licence photo which was taken right after the dye was done.
It's sad because the color did look pretty awesome.
By the time I got to Finland for the first time a month later to visit, it had already faded to a brassy copper (made much worse because the bleach had rendered it extremely brittle. My hair is thick and wavy and very finicky. It doesn't like being dehydrated).
I was a wee teenie, just turned 20, at the the time (January 2003).
So considering that that's what happened the last time I dyed my hair I've been a bit nervous. Still, I've been wanting more and more to try out dyeing it black lately, and Wax and I went and bought the dye today. We're gonna do hers first though. Mine is too clean.
