A few hours ago, we had this conversation.

"Oh hey! It's our anniversary today!"

"Oh! Right! Which is it - 7th? Mmm... yeah. 7th."

"We should go out to eat or something except it's Sunday and the restaurants will close early."

"And we don't have any money."

"And we're lazy and you have the morning shift tomorrow."

"Yeah."

"Yeah. Our life!"

"Haha! Look at the cat!"¹

1. A really large portion of our conversations end with some variation on "Haha! Look at the cat!"

Strangely enough last year I remembered ~in advance~ and we actually went out to the movies! But it was more because I noticed previously on the web that the theater was showing a sneak preview of a movie I really wanted to see on that exact day and I bugged Wax about it until she pre-ordered the tickets.
