Docs 1B99 Green Hunt antiqued metallic textured & 1B60 silver+black

Two pairs of boots that I would love to design science fiction costumes around! "Green Hunt" are a dark green metallic with a sort of snakeskin texture, which is incredibly awesome. The other pair are a rub-off black and silver, for a nifty antique effect with depth.

GREEN BOOTS PLZ

Re: the boots on the right, I do, actually, have Golden Boots of Justice which I purchased off EBay. They're not DM, but apparently the company was or is owned by DM. Can't recall what they are, but they're actually incredibly uncomfortable while being incredibly awesome. A pity, because nothing would make me feel more like an awesome feminist comic-book heroine than getting to stomp around in metallic gold, steel-toed, hobnailed combat boots.

There are authentic DMs in shiny gold/silver with the standard footbed, no hobnails, but currently they are only made 14-eye, not 20-eye. I like the antiqued better. But I think I do prefer them flat and comfortable. And preferably non-steel-toed.



The green ones are discontinued original stock from the British Boot Co, which has fairly reasonable vintage pricing and international shipping, btw.

(As I look over my icons, I think, hey, a white & gold Cleopatra costume like that icon with a distressed futuristic air and gold DMs would rock! Curse my longing for about 40 different pairs of DMs.)
