I'm actually rather frightened of squirrels; I watch them warily when I pass them on the road, and I cringe when I have to walk under their trees. I don't like how they come up to one fearlessly and with no appreciation for the fact that random passersby can't be expected to know whether or not any individual squirrel is rabid. Also, my friend saw a squirrel eating a bird once, which is just disturbing.
After that article made me realize that Pixar films are always about boys, I changed my mind about seeing that in theaters. It won't be out on DVD here for at least a few months, now.
Up! has a fantastic female character who is unfortunately not in the movie for very long. But she's one half of the movie's 10-minute opening montage which is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. I love that movie so much. And I agree that it's time for Pixar to give us a movie about women. Esp. because I always love all of their female characters.
