Huh. I've always liked The Time of the Ghost without completely knowing what to make of it. The first half is pretty ace, the next quarter weakening, and the end bizarre. Perhaps the 80s were not a good decade for Diana Wynne Jones. The characters are so enchanting, but it's as if she's run out of space to finish up all her ideas, and then the ending is so utterly random that I have to wonder if she had several more chapters that someone made her cut or something.

Now to get Hexwood and the Griffin duology and, since I hate the Dalemark Quartet, I think that will make all the ones I wanted copies of.

Man, I love the Griffin books. Totally my favorites, although the Crestomanci books are a close second.
