Personally, I find images of women in traditional lace/satin Frederick's of Hollywood-type lingerie pretty off-putting. This is certainly because of its inescapable connection to the male gaze, not to mention association with gross blow-up doll makeup. But in contrast, I find [relatively] natural face in combination with plain and functional cotton underwear incredibly sexy.

Which is why this tumblelog that I discovered yesterday is my new happy place: allthingsVSpink. It's a photo log of advertising and candid images related to Victoria's Secret's PINK line, which is a playful collegiate-style line of cotton underwear, sleepwear, exercise gear, etc. Wow. *_*























It has the added benefit of "...and I'd happily wear that too", which is always what I strive for in fashion imagery. In this case, a little bittersweet, since VS makes the perfect cotton underwear that fits me properly, and I still have never succeeded in finding a Finnish replacement. (We immediately hit the Overland Park mall when we got wedding present money from my family and bought me five pairs. The price for five pairs of cotton underwear at VS has risen from $20 to $25 USD since I was in high school.)

Now if only Lane Bryant would make a Pink-esque line, I'd really be in heaven...

I love VS's cotton undies. They are so, so comfortable; more so than their other lines. I just wish they would make bras in my size that are that comfy, too, but I cup-sized out of their coverage range after college.
