I identify strongly with River Song & Amy in the scene where they intervene in the matter of the Doctor's hat because that's what I'd like to do everytime I see people in public wearing Uggs and Crocs

I don't identify with River Song, but I would gladly follow her example when it comes to wardrobe intervention
4 (26.7%)

I applaud River Song's quick thinking wrt the Doctor's hat that time, but in general, speaking for myself, I think it was a bit of overkill

I applaud River Song's quick thinking wrt the Doctor's hat that time, but wouldn't extend the policy to Uggs and Crocs

I don't identify with River Song at all (though I liked her more in the finale than I have in past episodes) and I don't approve of her actions towards The Fez, but I probably would approve if it was Uggs or Crocs, but that doesn't give anyone the right to physically intervene in someone else's choices, and if she did that in real life I'd hate her and probably punch her for being a horrible judgemental person.

I confess I don't get the anti-Crocs sentiment. They seem like incredibly practical shoes to me: perfect for warm, rainy days when you don't want your shoes to turn into a swamp and it's wet enough that your feet will slip right out of flip-flops, but when you can't just go barefoot for whatever reason.

Well, children have lost toes from them. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=3619699&page=1

Mostly it's because they're so offensively, aggressively ugly, though.

That's what they're designed for. Unfortunately, their wearers don't seem to know that.

I love River like burning but I object to the Fez action. Fezzes are cool.

I do not know these 'Crocs' of which you speak.

Oh dear.

Ugg boots are SLIPPERS people. They're for keeping your feet WARM, in the HOUSE. They are NOT outdoor shoes.

Okay, I can see why you might want a sheepskin lined boot in the snow, for example, but I still think it looks naff.

In my (relevant, Australian) experience an ugg boot is a bit of sheepskin sewn onto a thong/flip-flop base. There is no sturdy.

Bunny slippers are cute, but that's no reason to wear them to the mall.

I own a fez but have shame when it comes to wearing ridiculous hats. I do not have shame when it comes to ugly comfy shoes because I have bloody bastard osteoarthritic old lady feet and would wear bin bags on them if it helped. Put it this way: I am currently wearing Fit Flops. Fit Flops. FFS.
