I identify strongly with River Song & Amy in the scene where they intervene in the matter of the Doctor's hat

I identify strongly with River Song & Amy in the scene where they intervene in the matter of the Doctor's hat because that's what I'd like to do everytime I see people in public wearing Uggs and Crocs

I don't identify with River Song, but I would gladly follow her example when it comes to wardrobe intervention

I applaud River Song's quick thinking wrt the Doctor's hat that time, but in general, speaking for myself, I think it was a bit of overkill

Oh dear.
Ugg boots are SLIPPERS people. They're for keeping your feet WARM, in the HOUSE. They are NOT outdoor shoes.
Okay, I can see why you might want a sheepskin lined boot in the snow, for example, but I still think it looks naff.

Date: 17 Aug 2010 11:03 pm (UTC)There are plenty of sheepskin boots that aren't bedroom slippers out there. Classic Uggs may have a sturdy construction (I mean, I've never investigated) and are undoubtedly cosy, but they don't have the sort of insole and outsole desirable in a snowboot.
