I have such a *thing* for pretty Docs. Don't even know why.

Mmmm, pretty, pretty docs. I'm not allowed near the Doc Martens website anymore. Every time I look at it I find another pair of boots I want to bring home.

I'm getting these for Christmas.

A classic choice. I personally prefer (in red, obviously the queen of solid shoe colors) the full 20-eye knee boots.

I lust after a pair of 20-eye knee boots, but I have an irrational prejudice against side zippers in boots, which the 1B60's seem to have (at least according to pictures I've found elsewhere online). These 20-eye boots don't have the side zipper, but alas they only come in black. I still yearn for them though. They'll probably be my next Doc purchase. I actually went looking for knee boots initially, I just accidentally fell in love with the Vintage boots.

Vintages have a nice, slightly different profile, I agree. And I also agree about zippers, but I'm willing to put up with them in the absence of options. DM only makes a very few styles - maybe only certain vintage ones? - without nowadays. I have to admit that mine (Vonda 14-eye) are a lot more convenient with zips, even if I'd prefer the look of them without.
