Diamine Eau de Nil fountain pen ink in a Lamy Safari M on Tomoe River paper. Also used: a Speedball C-0 dip pen nib and a small brush.
I’ve been using this ink regularly for months; it’s in my favorite color family, performs well, and is a happy medium-dark jewel tone. It shades nicely but has very little sheen: I thought I could see some, but I couldn’t get it to photograph. The shading, however, is extremely dramatic, and the larger swathes of ink made by the broad nib also show this curious kind of bubbly effect which some inks have, though I don’t yet know the name for it.
