okay why didn't I get a driver's license before the pandemic augh

Week before last I sent some emails asking about work practices connected to the dubiously-safe career counseling class I went to a couple weeks ago in Turku, and last week I visited a couple of places in person that hide their email addresses from the world. One of them went well, and in the absence of any email responses and this place being both cool and actually interested in me, I'm going to go there tomorrow for an interview and to sign a contract. This would normally be world-shaking because I have been known to have anxiety about things, except there's other stuff going on mentally and I barely remembered to check the bus schedule this weekend in between attempting to paint the hall.

However. I completely hallucinated a different bus route and my error means I have to walk like 2 km to get there OR leave half an hour earlier and wait 15 minutes at a bus stop to switch buses.

This would normally not be an unpleasant walk for me, even though I haven't been there before... except it's supposed to rain tomorrow! And be +5° C (41 F). That's cold enough that standing still for 15 minutes is uncomfortable... but doing this walk in potentially heavy rain is probably also uncomfortable???? I still can't decide which is worse. I guess I'll have to decide tomorrow morning.

Ha I misread your first line as you had sent complaint emails about dubious work practices at the class and so the rest of your post was so confusing!

do they not have taxis? Is this like new zealand where taxis are for tourists and the very elderly only?

Oh. Hm... there ARE taxis, it's just that taking them between different city/counties is more expensive so I guess a lot of people who aren't elderly avoid it? I definitely would have considered it if it was a lot colder/more extreme weather. I knew this way was just like, uncomfortable. And I'm going to have to go there regularly for my work experience placement so I needed to check out the commute and start to get an idea of how walking vs switching buses stack up. Ugh.
