cimorene: The words "AND NOW THIS I GUESS?" in medieval-influenced hand-drawn letters (now this)

Noooo, our beloved dishwasher is making the error light that means the water isn't draining, but following the steps in the manual didn't fix it, and it's still saying it's not draining even though now there's no water left in it which seems counterintuitive to say the least but I guess we have to call a qualified area Miele service somethingorother Monday and that means tomorrow we're gonna have to wash the dishes by hand again.

I guess this isn't as bad as when I had to handwash our clothes. On the other hand, there's no such thing as a dish-o-mat you can drive to.

There really should be, shouldn't there?

Having recently had a mouse nesting in my dishwasher, which is not a thing I thought could be a thing but for which Bosch has a procedure for repairmen to follow (which is, decline to have anything to do with it), I feel your pain. Washing dishes by hand is so tiresome!

, warm, moist and cosy. I have no idea *how* a mouse gets inside a dishwasher, but apparently it's not uncommon, as it is nice and warm in there, safe from cats, and there is insulation which makes a comfy nest. *sigh* We have a friend who likes repairing things, so he has taken the dishwasher away to see if he can give it new life, and we have a new one. And we're leaving the kitchen door open overnight now, so the cat has access!

Well, Bosch have a procedure for when there's a mouse nest which is, Repairman is not to proceed! Too much danger of getting scratched against something and then having the wound come in contact with mouse droppings. So it wasn't even a question of not being able to afford to repair itβ€”it was effectively written off. Mind you, it was about nine years old so it had done okay, and I think my curious friend will probably give it a second life somewhere. But, yes.
