what pop mail program can i use to get my mail? am sick of webmail. outlook express is evil and the netscape mail program is, er, not that great either. but. you know. webmail. ick.

You can try Eudora Lite. It's quite text-based, and it doesn't open attachments by default, unlike Outlook. Also, it doesn't take up a lot of space to install.

Eudora isn't bad. I think Opera has a mail pregram bundled with its browser. Both are free.

If I didn't use outlook express or netscape mail, then my next choice would be eudora light. On the other hand, I'm a personal fan of the full version of Outlook, which came bundled in office. I haven't found any other programs that compete for being my favorite.

I'll put it my vote for Eudora. It was my program of choice for... many many years. I would be using it now except their upgrades for OSX are still in beta and are less than functional.
