the livejournal servers are going wonky again. i hate when i've edited a style and made NOT A SINGLE ERROR and yet, when it appears on the screen, it's all screwed up like this (my friends page) currently is. i even see the parts where that table column is supposed to end and the navigation bar is supposed to be; it's identical to that in the style for my lastn page, and it just. won't. work. this has happened to me several times before with generator styles.

[edit: apparently the flaw was in an entry of [livejournal.com profile] oneko_briar's. when i removed her from the default view it worked perfectly again. everyone, go look at my lovely new gorgeous beautiful friends page!]

shakira on the cover of pies descalzos looks a little like [livejournal.com profile] thechaosdiva in her "oh fuck" icon. lalala. /random.

so watch cim start over from scratch with the friends page style! i will be victorious, damn you... and i will still be awake in ten or twelve hours or whenever [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism returns from helsinki. in the meanwhile, anyone on my aim friends list want some ani, some bjork, some wild asparagus, some shakira? some queen from news of the world, their second best album ever?

Refried paper, uh? I tried to get it to look "normal" for months, and every time it ended up looking about the same as yours; I tried every.single.thing I could think of, and none of them worked.

(not to, um, discourage you or anything, but yes. style is e-vil)

Um, that offer's not open to not-on-your-AIM-friends-list-people who're leaving and will only be back in two hours, is it?

To get refried paper to look spiffy like that do you have to edit the style directly or can you use overrides? Just curious, trying to gauge how lazy I am : )

the overrides only change the background colors, i THINK. however, there is a MUCH more complicated text override that i did not use which i think would change the font colors too. it specifies every aspect of every font element on the page and is really really long. i think editing the style is faster--you just use the main page html block at the bottom and change the colors for the text there (that's what i did--i used overrides for the background colors)

Ahh! Thank you. I might go poke at that : ) Since really, who needs to study? *skips off to look for overrides*
