i hate those things with the intense heat of a thousand suns.



we had one of those on our car. or rather, both of them. i was in high school in tuscaloosa, alabama, and my mother was a graduate teaching assistant in art, doing art for elementary education majors on the university of alabama's little quad, in front of the sculpture garden. someone walking by the car tore it off. we replaced it. lost another. replaced it again and lost it again. replaced it with this:



--a bumpersticker, which they failed to peel off. scribbled over the silver with black magic marker, or tried--but they were thwarted, the little fascists, because the marker wouldn't show up over it. vague smears; that was all.

We have both on our car : ) I got so sick of looking at fish!jesus and fish!darwin having their silent little war on separate cars that I put them, noses touching, on my mom's car, cut out a bright red heart out of vinal, and stuck it between their noses. Their love is so... automotive?

I have a midterm in 1 hour 15min, don't mind me.

I also like the fish that say gentile. My neighbor is jewish and put one on her car. V. amusing.

Isn't there one where the Jesus fish is eating the Darwin fish? Yeah, I want to ram the back of the car every time. Especially when they're sporting the WWJD? logo, too. Jesus wouldn't drive like a dickhead, that's what.

The fish wars do get a little old. I have a fish bumper sticker myself: one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.

Can't believe people pull it off your car, though; that's so idiotic. Do they really think if they can't see it, you won't think it?

I got my Darwin fish when I was sixteen, and saved it for when I got my own car. Now it's on the back of my car along with a canadian flag. No one has ever said anything about either to me. The Gefilte fish si a riot.
