you know what i hate? old science fiction art, where there's the spaceship arrowing proudly across the composition and casting a shadow behind it onto the starfield. er, yeah. no.

ellen_fremedon is talking about meta-ness (not exactly, but indirectly--putting her life into a story and then putting the story into her life--yes, i hear that) and the sheer mind-boggling recursiveness of that sort of meta--especially when you're deeply depressed or wildly moodswingy--is just terrifying. of course it's also like a loose tooth or a scab. you wouldn't stop picking at it for anything.

my parents totally need to buy the extended dvd for me, although i'm with cara_chapel: ::bites pj:: no more haldir, dude. 2 minutes or whatever was PLENTY. much spoilerage of it was posted in the journal of brandybuck recently, so go there and squee muchly. go forth and squee? something like that. maybe i'll upload a squee icon. tralalalala.

We were only under the influence last week when I first told them about slash... This time, last night, we were all completely sober, which just made EW's VV Gay Xmas even funnier - esp. the fact that it was them, not me, who came up with it!
