cimoreneafter a shower, a cat crying and scratching at the bathroom door brought me into the hall in some perplexity. it was orpheus, whining very charmingly for no discernable reason, of course. he was well-supplied with food and water and didn't try to get me to let him into the disallowed Construction Zone (tm). nope, he just jumped up on the bathroom counter, and submitted with violent purrings to having his ears and chin scratched. and then he let me carry him into lillian's bedroom to deposit two toys, purring all the way, and jumped down in the living room, and curled up on the couch without another glance at me.
