Going from long to short is very freeing but make sure you're ready for it. 'Tis a big shock when you actually do it.

Also, if you do (now or anytime in the future), make sure to do Locks of Love.

i've had short hair before, and it's my conviction that i look stupid like that. makes my head too small or something. but i've always had those unfortunate cheekbone-length bobs that are supposed to be sleek and my hair, with its middling tendency to curl, can't do sleek to save its life--but at that length (what, four inches?), it doesn't have enough weight to pull into ringlets either, so no cute hobbity look.
