here i thought aukestral was just being slightly overdramatic about a cyber-stalker--annoying but excusable. and actually it's a fandoms-wide epic tangle of, uh, stuff--with legions of followers, and tons of competing stories! AND a password-protected site?

i will make a mood theme for anyone who can tell me what actually happened.

I was in DS fandom when this happened. It was very confusing. There was this bit about HoniSoit outing Aukestrel to her boss, or ex-boss. And HoniSoit got her stuff banned from Hexwood, which was the DS archive at the time, and AuKestrel took her stuff out of there, or something, and Hexwood actually got killed as a result of the huge-ass kerfluffle they had. HoniSoit turned out to be the nutcast instigator of the two, though the accusations flew fast and furious between both. Alas, I do not know the whole tale, so no mood theme for me.

I'm pretty sure that part did happen, and that it was to her former boss. Not pretty, that kerfluffle.

Hah. I remember the locked site from TPM fandom. I just sort of looked at it and said 'honey, there ain't no fanfic that is good enough to make me jump though a bunch of hoops to see it.'
