items of horror
25 Mar 2003 08:40 am1. the library doesn't have or even LIST, which means they have never, not for one single issue, had, the journal of sedimentary geology.
2. a user icon with matchbox 20 lyrics ('bent') used in my community! ASKL;AJF.
watch for more updates later!
3. Q: wouldn't it be funny if they didn't carry the really MAJOR field-specific journals like geology, biology, the journal of zoology? A: no. (geology is still here. WHEW.)
4. big!gay!andy doesn't number his pages. it's easy, asshole. click 'insert.'
5. no geoarchaeology.
6. when i looked up the journal paleaogeography, palaeoclimatology, palaeoecology for the first time today i knew at a glance that the call number had changed (from QE500.P25 to QE1.G417). 'oh, no,' i said, 'did they move the old issues of it to the annex*?'
7. has dad converted me to reefs? @.@ (catalog doesn't list international society for reef studies, european meeting, abstract volume. my first reaction is... indignation?)

*annex=basement of another library, with no photocopiers. you can get 3 volumes at a time from there, which is a problem in this case, because palaontologists tend to be understandably fond of this particular journal**.
**affectionately known in the 'field' as 'palaeo cubed.' 9.9
