getting shit together

i've been worried a lot about one of my cousins lately, but despite chronic problems with guys who bring new meaning to the word 'lame,' she seems very strong. certainly, despite the guys, her shit was already more 'together' than mine or
kitten_head's, and now she's made a lot more steps in that direction. it's like the pilot of a fantastically popular show on some channel that costs a ton extra: she dumped her guy, resolved not to get a new one, cut and permed her hair, got a tattoo and has drawn plans for another ('much smaller'), and is saving for a down payment on a house and looking for a dog. rock.
did you know taking walks is supposed to cut depression?
as someone or other once (or more than once?) said on that lovely early 90s tv show hey dude, fry me in butter and call me a catfish.
also, our neighbor would say 'happy as a dead pig in the sun,' which is weirder, but less relevant.
