so i was trying to name the fictional five-star restaurant outside of which john and rodney are going to fall into the storm drain, and i was thinking about the place i ate before my senior prom, and...

...i want to read a story where the characters eat at a place called the dorky coyote diner.¹

why is everybody looking at me like that?





1.  no, the restaurant we went to before prom wasn't called the dorky anything.  i believe it was the coyote café.  guinevere33 could probably confirm.

..What I would like to read is a fic that would shamelessy use all the made-up fanon details, like morphine in the emergency kits, and Atlantis loving Sheppard, and the mess hall's imitation-earth-food.

you know, i'm pretty sure i've read some badfic that used all or most of those. you don't even need parodies in some fandoms--they just parody themselves.

It was, indeed, Coyote Cafe. And it's entirely appropriate, as it got shut down last year because the floor was rotting out due to water leaks that the landlord refused to fix.
