i should've said yes, except they're having a drunken valentine's party in the dorm tonight, and the beach (our balcony) is not particularly safe. see, the dorm is named valentine. clever, n'est c'pas?

anyway, so, he's rich and could afford it, but it's cold outside, even if it were safe. he seemed upset that i might get high without him there to supervise.

whatever.

oh the joy of various things.

1. who the hell fished the beer can out of the urinal? i mean, i'm glad they did. but dude.

2. lisa and the dletunya are so, so, SO, so, so cute. she doesn't want to go to sleep because he's leaving tomorrow and so she's sitting up, and he kissed her about five times to wake her up while making little incoherent murmurs. this is the one who left the message on the answering machine to the effect of "hey lisa i don't have any time left on my phone card or i'd call you back but you'll have to call me and i guess you're not there and i really wanted to talk to you and just say that i love you but oh shit the phone card is running out gotta go iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou mwah!"

well, of course i've read it, but i haven't written it. i like sil's [britney] a lot, especially pastel. and i think jat sapphire's star trek tos rand/chapel is great, funny and moving, like she always is: holiday stress and leadership and other serious matters discussed at the shopping mall from fashion hell (plus sex scene). <--the title is not better than the story. you should seriously read it.

but, uhm, anyway, so i've never written it before, and now i'm writing a she-ra one, and it's a little disconcerting. it doesn't feel unnatural. there's my mom's theory that "sex is sex"--and i think i'd have to go with that, no matter how intriguing it might be if this somehow proved that no one is really 100% straight (or that i wasn't), because i've never been a guy, yet i have no trouble writing m/m slash, which ought to be a lot harder. i think fiction is totally disassociated from reality, even slash fiction from the reality of sexuality. y'know. so i'm not really disturbed so much as contemplative and. stuff. but i will be glad when i finish this story--i don't like having she-ra unhappy. :(

the key is still lost. shudder to think what a replacement key will cost. holls and kwirb are gone, j is away, and i already have 35 icons, which is exactly 32 too many. am trying to write the she-ra story. do not like sweet bee. sweet bee+sex is not bad but sweet bee and the home theme is bothering me. of course it is my own fault.

eeeeeeee! i always get so anxious at this point that i have to do something else, like fiddle with the recycle bin or a picture or check email or something, because i'm too nervous. frosta and she-ra are about to meet again. wish them luck! they're so sweet! and oooooooooh, they are brave, too. i don't know who i love more.

also, that is mermista in my standard icon up there. uhhhm, and i just got done making her lovelorn. i hope this doesn't say something important and symbolic. if i'm lucky, it means nothing other than that i like teal hair.

it occurs to me that this story is going to practically require one.

you can't keep big secrets from your lover. i mean, "the box is your birthday present, but it's a surprise"? yes. "i am actually adora, and i only turn into she-ra occasionally by holding aloft my sword and saying 'for the honor of grayskull, i am she-ra'"? no.
