first of all, i was reading about it, but then i knew they were making a movie starring susan sarandon and suddenly i was at the set where they were filming it, which was on the beach in the sand dunes on a huge wooden stage. then, a thunderstorm started, and because i was scared i got transported to the dream for real, to watch susan sarandon be insane. she was talking to herself, running all over, and crying.

the reason i knew what was going on, as i followed her to the house across the street, is because i'd read the book. according to the story, she had been at that house and some ghostcame and started telling everyone there, with whom she was in fla. on spring break, to commit suicide,so they did. she went crazy and ran across to the beach and almost did but then didn't. and then her One True Love found her running around, and saved her, but he was poor and couldn't afford to buy her a plane ticket without selling a v. valuable book from his collection.

then the Dream Narrator (or, i dunno, i was psychic) suddenly rewound and started it over to show me not the story but what really happened, from the beginning. she didn't know the spring break guys at all--was there with her bf and they'd met the guys in a bar, and they gang-rapedher, so she murdered them all and went insane, and then went to the stage on the beach, because she was convinced she had actually committed suicide there before (when she'd had some mild thought about it?) and her soul wouldn't be able to go to heavenif she wasn't there, waiting to be taken. she's all covered with these guys' blood, you realize. anyway, she wanders down the road and meets this nice guy, and he can tell she's insane because he's a genius (???) and suddenlysir ian mckellan shows up and is like, "you need to buy a plane ticket." (once again, ???) and the guy doesn't even know that his books were worth so much. sir ian buys a gay novel called "the zoo" from the guy (which he has shelved with his other "zoo" books, inclucing a large section of children's books about animals). the guy buys a plane ticket and flies susan to a mental hospital; no one ever finds out what really happened. i wake up. not particularly scared or disturbed, either, which. huh. weird.

have been entertaining myself by taking pictures of my dog and of Empress, the cutest cat in the universe.

the digital camera has a viewfinder that shows exactly what the picture will be on a little lcd screen. right after you take a picture, it freezes it there so you can look for a few seconds; then it vanishes and becomes the viewfinder again.

yesterday, me and tesia to my aunt cherrie: ahhhahahaha! this picture, look!
cherrie: ...it's moving.

i told my uncle and my dad.

dad: cherrie, did you know [cim's mom] got a video camera?
cherrie: *blank*
joe: sometimes it takes movies!
dad: that's why the picture was moving.
cherrie: *can tell we're making fun of her, as i've almost fallen over laughing* ...but the picture does move sometimes.
joe: that's because it's not a picture.
cherrie: *looks back and forth*
dad: it's the viewfinder.
cherrie: oh.
me: oh! ahahahahahaha! *i fall over, crushing the cat*

<--VERY grumpy.

[edit: oh, but look what i did last night, when i also should have been writing and wasn't. i get a gold star for procrastination, don't i? hey, wax!

my dad, relating sartre's probable words if he were currently alive and trapped in his coffin: m'aide. [mispronounced]
me: *confused* mayday?
my little sister: isn't that, like, a day in may?

mom: look! It's the great wall!
dad: or at least a representation of it.
me: *simultaneously* except actually, it's just a picture.

remember home (right. sure you do), which is she-ra/frosta and sweet bee/mermista based on the episode "sweet bee's home"? (she-ra being a cartoon).

well. i finished the sequel after four days of writing. i was posting teasers yesterday, but...

identity.
graphic f/f sex, pov and tense shifts, angst and unresolved issues, incest and abuse, magic, wild and sustained cim-metaphors. totally stereotypical me except for the added bleakness of the incest stuff. sequel to "home," but doesn't depend on any one episode; in fact, it's pretty well supplied with background. adora and she-ra are the same person, which is potentially confusing, but actually explained in the first scene, so.

so, another teaser. hmmmm.

When she stops, shading her eyes to watch for Swiftwind, in a waterfall of sun, it turns thick around her and gilds her eyelashes, painting white gleams on the full parts of her cheeks, flushing her nose.

--and also--

You want her mouth on your throat. You want to surprise her, want her eyes to go wide and shocked. You want her to want you so much her mouth is open and her breath rushes in and out in fast disbelieving pants, and when you come to her, you want her to smile as though the smile might tremble and break off her face, and you don't want to lose the image of it even in your dreams. Why, when you have what you want, do you persist in longing as though you want what you cannot have?

kk, your request for more graphic/pervasive f/f sex has been answered. ;)
