i am irrationally fond of this song.

and rationally fond of this adorable story. as for school, it can go fuck itself.

i want all the words. someone beautiful and talented found them for me once, but then i lost them! bad, bad cim!

::ahem::

so first i dreamed that dad had a job for me that i had to walk to, from home in alabama. there apparently *was* an eastern side of school high school (well, there is now, but it's really more central, and they're building a new one; it was the new one, essentially, only it was old) and i walked through alberta city for some reason, and along the sides of the highway where the exits go to the university and ended at this university building, where they had displays about fish, and some secretaries were locked in a glass-walled office. i was sitting outside waiting, somehow or other. and then, like, they talked to me and they sent me outside, and i had to climb up an extremely rickety ladder in company with some other people and we ended up on a grassy hilltop that could only be reached via the building's roof. and there was a school's dance line team there, getting ready to perform a musical in these ruins which had some curtains in them like a stage, and the ruins were sort of a cross between stonehenge, some imaginary abbey or other and the ruins of the old capitol building at home. and the play was about a whole bunch of sisters--princesses? or something? maybe they were in a harem--and i think they all die, but there was this very disturbing thing about which one was going to die next. the director was sort of like the choral directors always were in my high schools and middle schools, a petite black woman with perfect hair and nails and a polyester suit. and then there was... blood on the ground? the chorus people knew about it, though, and they left us. it was seeping up *from* the ground, you understand, it wasn't theirs; i think this was because whatever it was had actually happened there? and then they left me and a boy and a girl, who were, i suppose, all interns from the fish place, and we suddenly realized it was dangerous and maybe they were evil. the building tried to kill us when we were climbing back down the ladder, but we survived. and then i was like, 'you live in alberta, don't you?' trying to get the boy to walk with me so i wouldn't get killed on the way back.

and then i had two more dreams about opening my birthday present (which i knew was going to be those half-soled modern dance shoes, btw). first time what came out were ballet slippers and the ribbons weren't even long enough. second time they were these huge sheets of suede with printing on them and you had to cut them and do things to them yourself and there were no directions.

i was sort of surprised, on waking up, to open a pair that were already perfectly assembled, that slipped onto my feet perfectly. yay! dancing next weekend. ::stifles a yawn::

::whine:: what if i don't want to get dressed?

hm. i wonder if i'm going to get any grovelling in today. i think not. maybe i'll drop by the japanese department and the dean's office in between breakfast and lunch, though. and then come back here and sleep. where is everyone? don't you know you should be awake at 10 am on this ::looks out window:: dismal and dreary day? someone should be entertaining me.

oh! [livejournal.com profile] mcee! i never wrote your birthday drabble, but someone gave me an idea which could lead to brilliancy. how would you feel about a chain of fools/hetty crossover with lijah as mikey and dommie as geoff? ::angel face:: just say no if you like, and i'll deliver you some rps instead this afternoon.

--i asked you that three times!
--and now i answered.
