cimorene: painting of a glowering woman pouring a thin stream of glowing green liquid from an enormous bowl (misanthropy)
of course, since my addressing [livejournal.com profile] vblackangelv about her frequent!posts worked out fabulously in that she was polite, even gracious, and eager to please, naturally some twit has to come by and spam with what on her planet passes for snark.

you know, they say very good things about closed communities.

anytime you eat or drink in our house you run the risk of ingesting fluffy airborne tufts of feline fur, due to the efforts of orpheus and empress, a pair of adorable Mostly!MaineCoon!Kittehs who differ from the breed standard largely in that they're a bit smaller. <3 for the cuteness of the kittehs and the crotchety old bowling ball cat, moonbeam, who is 12 and really shaped more like a partly-deflated beach ball with toothpicks for legs.

but, ew.

eheh.

aw, [livejournal.com profile] veuki-honey! standing up for me? burnt sienna + chartreuse 4eva.

i have made a community for fandom_wank and dl_anon related icons at journalfen, fwank_icons. maybe the technologically savvy among us can help make that into an lj feed or summat.

i thought my mom was supposed to come back last night, and although i'm glad that she didn't, i'm also hungry. good thing about mom? she cooks.

nap interrupted three times by people calling us* and once by orpheus kneading my thigh with his wee claws. finally i woke up all the way and remembered i forgot my medicine. maybe that's why i suddenly find myself turning the ac up and frowning over my upset stomach. but, oh dear, i wandered sleepily back here in the full expectation of finding [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism, but perhaps it's still thunderstorming in finland. meh.

and wtf? star trek isn't on.

edit: says it's the incredible hulk. but it's about a monkey scientist. i dunno, man. stargate marathon at six, though.

*which probably shoudln't piss me off but there you have it. i'm always like ::fumefume::STUPID BASTARDS!

ie: he admired his lover's ass.

dear writers who subject their readers to appositives,

appositives are for clarification of an unclear point, usually in formal speech. cool: the professor, also a licensed blah blah blah technician, did something technically that you have to be a technician to do. uncool: 'blah blah' said a character, just introduced to the story. 'hm?' said the protagonist, looking up to meet his lover's eyes. even less cool: blah blah his lover's ass, when they've just had sex. we know it's his lover. they just had sex. next window. there are these great things called 'names.' they were even immortalized in a popular work of literature called the bible with a fantabulous fairy tale about naming everything (unless i've got my mythologies mixed up). they're not as fancy and polysyllabic as appositives (at least, most of the time), but they do carry the added bonus of never coming off as pretentious, overly self-conscious, or unconfident.

love,
cim

[livejournal.com profile] viggorlijah just recommended this nice, sweet, contemplative harry/snape. with a warning for snake-assisted masturbation.

it has a nice fairy tale air, it produces a few moments of involved-with-the-story drama, gasp, oh! chest-tightness. falters a bit towards the end. eh, snape is hard to characterize so i don't take off too many points, but i could live without the 'when did you first' conversation. do real people, like... really do that? o.0
