how to deal (high school romantic comedy with mandy moore)

...surprisingly good. not that it couldn't have been better, but i was entertained all the way through. there were cool costumes, there were fun lines, there was not too much that made me want to vomit, there was good humor, there was allison janney. although casting her as a worn-out has-been instead of a sexpot strikes me as very strange. oh well. the main romance of the thing was bland, as high school romance movies are, but the rest of the story wasn't bad.

bend it like beckham soundtrack

i've been trying for several weeks to download the soundtrack to bend it like beckham. i'm using the amazon.co.uk tracklisting as reference cause it has about eight more tracks--although most of them are just dialogue which i'm not bothering with. but i'm having a hell of a time downloading backyard dog by baddest ruffest and a 'funkstar deluxe house mix' of tom jones's she's a lady. and curtis mayfield's move on up isn't on any version of the track, but it was in the movie. and a wedding dance called rail gaddi is coming up all over the place when i search limewire, but it's not listed in the .uk version either. someone must have the coveted indian version!

i'm going to be without this computer in texas so before i go i have to burn all my favorite music to cds. which is, uh, a lot. i mean, how many tori and weird al albums do i have here? ::sigh::

not, like, let's kill all the newbies. but just because i remember being... a painfully earnest newcomer to fandom and. yes. ouch. although i was generally moved to investigate and figure things out on my own rather than asking people, cause i felt silly.
