seven of the 70-something ros and guil icons i made even though i'll have to delete some soon to make room for meantime icons instead.

because it's late and my habit of basking in the sunlight makes me sluggish and leads to long morning naps, i've become jittery, vibrating like a plucked string as i told lilah.  jittery enough to eat half a packet of pepparkakor and write some of this tender sex scene i've been unable to get to all weekend.  i figure four and a half hours' sleep, yawning surreptitiously in class and a nice nap tomorrow.  all in favor say aye.

don't really.

i need to google some stuff from this commonly confused words test (gacked from [livejournal.com profile] devon) when i get home. i'm not convinced there's any still-extant difference between some of those pairs of words, but i at least want to know what was going on.

allow me to just gack this from [livejournal.com profile] guinevere33.

WebSideStory registered Microsoft's Internet Explorer's share drop under the 90% level for the first time, while Firefox has enticed additional 0.74% to its 5.7% browser market share in the last five weeks since the research in January. Amsterdam-based OneStat awarded Firefox with 8.5% share of the browser market. According to its Web research, the share of IE has fallen to 87.3 percent. According to WebSideStory, the Mozilla Foundation could possibly reach its desirable 10% browser market share by the end of the year.

in other news my sources have reported the temperature at -18 C. fun fun fun till the daddy takes the t-bird away, kids. and tea's acting extra crack-baby-ish today, but in a charming and kind of affectionate way. awwwh.

eta: no, you know, that's not it. i'm astonished ie still has that much of the market. if you're still using it, stop. there's no good reason. it's thoroughly crap in nearly every possible way. it's inferior by miles and it's evil. just the fact that they package it like they do and try to make it so you can't delete it and try their idiotic scare-tactic "warnings" to make people think they can't use the windows website with another browser should be enough to make anyone drop it like a hot potato.

what do you get when you cross a mountain lion, a crack baby and a pink suede wallet?

tea!

wax: is this a trick question?

a minute ago i was gonna buy bread at the store because wax used the last of it.  and i walked with the dog all the way to the store before i realised i had forgotten my wallet.

here's my investigation into the ones i was unsure of. )  i can't speak to whether using those things corrected my score to 100%, though, because i kept the page open and apparently it expired in the cache; at the end it thought i had 0 in everything.

hey [livejournal.com profile] mirabellawotr, somewhere along the line you linked to a post and a chick there has finally compiled a list of veela!draco fic here.

i kinda want to dive in, yet the last time i gorged myself on veelafic i was feeling poorly for days... .

and canadian children's writer robert munsch came up.  she sent me to his official website and i discovered that there you can listen to all his stories--including two of my favourite kids' books, murmel murmel murmel and jonathan cleaned up... then he heard a sound.  both are hilarious.  the former is about adoption (sez the author).  the second (sez me) involves, brilliantly, a boy whose apartment is a subway station, the vagaries of bureaucracy, and a jar of blackberry jam.

(20:29:44) GhettoHobbit: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
(20:30:24) cimness: it's sheer genius.  i don't know how i thought of it.  sometimes it's like god just speaks to me in a totally atheist way.
(20:31:38) GhettoHobbit: god: i dont exist, but here you go!
