Race Fail in RL

Me: She's screaming again.
Chav Girl: Yeah, she's been doing it on and off all day. If the gypsies came by right about now I know what I'd sell!
Me: ... o_O

Me: I just need some of your potatoes!
Substitute: She's taking our food.
Me: I estimated the amounts for each class wrong.
Amber: Then you're an Indian giver, haha!
Me: ... o_O

Maybe it should be renamed from Daycare Dykey to Daycare Did I Honestly Just Hear That Out Loud.

reading level

I am far too used to children of above average verbal intelligence. I can never guess in advance when the daycare kids're too young for a book because it seems to ME that a one-year-old could sit through and understand What Do You Say, Dear? - it's only, what, like, 20 sentences! But I tried to read it to a four-year-old today who couldn't stay still all the way through an explanation of what "How do you do?" means. The class in general, with a couple of exceptions, like, don't want to be read to, only to look at the pictures and move on! o_O They're BABY PLEBES!

1912 fashion plate

Several things are great in this outfit, like the fur being about a foot away from her face and the ethnic influences going on, but my favourite thing in this engraving is her expression/pose. I wish I knew the artist, but I grabbed it from a fashion history website which posted it without attribution.
