Insofar as wearing goes, these sneakers - being golf shoes - can only appeal to a small minority of this journal's readership, if that. (Seriously, golf? Minigolf, sure, but ACTUAL golf? I mean, I know I have lurkers, but it's just not a passion that overlaps widely with the typical fannish ones for porn and television. If I'm wrong, please, by all means correct me. I don't understand golf, and would love to gaze upon one who does.)

But in my view, the clothing is the best thing about golf! Now, stay with me. I'm not talking about the golf clothing you see on grandpas, or the golf clothing you probably picture if your idea of golf comes from bad 1980s romance movies featuring Yalies and girls from the wrong side of the tracks. No, I'm talking about today's golf gear aimed at ~serious athletes~ (incomprehensible it may be, but it's definitely athletic if you're good at it) and designed by (and for) the golf equivalents of the Williams sisters.

Also it must be admitted that I have a definite weakness for the judicious application, with cuteness, of Madras plaid and Argyle check. And of course, sneakers like these.

Typically I am all for disregarding the intended purpose of garments, but I can't think that shoes with spiky bottoms would be at all useful for daily casual wear. Which is too bad because I really enjoy that little flap over the laces on the second pair.

It looks like she's swinging, but no, this is what the Crazy does when you lift her gently straight up by the armpits. It's tough being a heat-seeking missile of cuddle who gets easily over-stimulated: she both dreads and craves being man-handled so she makes these hilarious (yet utterly non-violent) squawks and, as you see, writhes in mid-air. She's very muscular. Also, bald on her back. It's the dermatitis.

Wax thinks that being gently sponge-bathed (well, cupped-hand-bathed) in saltwater is good for her skin, which was basically a horrible place after her sunburn earlier this summer, since she has no hair to speak of and is a moron who kept licking her scabs whenever she got the chance. Actually it's mostly healed now and would've been long healed if not for the furtive licking.

  1. Warning: I forgot about the warning thing in my Part I post until someone reminded me....in the earlier part, a certain suicide action was involved. [Better late than never, right? ...Right?]

  2. Warning: You'll see.

  3. Warning: Sad things will happen. That's all I will tell you.

  4. Warnings: PWP? IDK. [The phrase which comes to mind is "LOL, WTF".]

  5. Warnings: slash, het, death [In order from best to worst?]

For those of you who don't care about bandom: this post is about bandom.

So the REALLY hardcore pot-head "retro" half of Panic was Ryan Ross and his wingman Jon Walker. Apparently this is the first leak of their stuff? The first thing I've heard about it anyway. And okay, first of all, they've named themselves The Young Veins. Ahahaha. And here is their leaked tune, which is provocatively called "Change":

The Young Veins, "Change"

...and yes, that is Ryan Ross singing. But while it's a pity he can't sing, it sort of seems to fit. After a few bars, I said "But the Beatles already existed!" (Also "Didn't they 'do' the Beatles on the last album?"). But then I heard the rest. It's more the lovechild of the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel, really.
