The last two years I didn't have time to make Valentines for you guys, so I started a day early today and I drew these little cartoons by hand, which means they are of lesser, yet probably more amusing quality than the 2005 and 2006 Valentine's Day posts. Pairing-themed virtual cards for 8 of my top pairings this year! (Click to enlarge)

Batman: Batman/Gordon
The context for this is this comic where Batman takes his cowl off to prove his friendship while they're strolling in the rose garden and Jim gets all choked and turns his back and yells, "Put it back! Put it back!" Obviously, this is not what happened next in canon. And Batman didn't actually have a rose for Gordon behind his back. And he wasn't semi-TDK Batman. And Gordon wasn't fondling a Throwing Bat. Look, it's a Valentine, okay?

Criminal Minds: Garcia/Morgan

The Devl Wears Prada: Andy/Miranda

DieHard4: John/Matt
Matt doesn't mind that John seems to have de-aged a bit as long as he's still bald.

Harry Potter: Harry/Snape
I usually only read Harry/Snape at the holidays, really, when there's an influx, but it's an old favourite and I've never made a Valentine for it before...

NCIS: Gibbs/Dinozzo
Admittedly, these dudes look less than usually like Gibbs and Dinozzo. IDK, they're hard to draw. It was this or stick figures. Just use your imagination.

Singin' in the Rain: Don/Kathy/Cosmo
Don is pimpin'. He's always seemed like the pimp type, a bit.

Star Trek: Mirror-Verse Kirk/Spock
This is an immediate sequel to "Mirror, Mirror", at the end of which Proper Kirk explains to Mirror Spock that evil is illogical so it's his logical duty to promote democracy. Spock had to incarcerate Mirror Kirk, who tends to flip out and act crazy when thwarted, while convincing him of his plan. Luckily Mirror Kirk has all of Proper Kirk's natural weakness for Spock and will soon bend his powerful charisma and glittery shirt to Spock's cause.

Thanks! Yeah, smug hairy-chested Don was a blast to draw. Also, he came out right on the first try which was unique...

Those are adorable. I particularly loved the Batman one, and the Criminal Minds -- Garcia/Morgan is a sort of irresistable OTP of mine. ;-) Happy Valentine's Day!

The Batman one made me squeak with joy, and the Singin' in the Rain one is just plain perfect.
