finding nemo stuff

1. author sues disney over finding nemo. the wild thing is that my baby cousin perrin has the book (in english, not french, sadly) and jenny and i independently noticed the likeness. there are some similarities in story line (i.e., the things which happen to nemo--caught by diver. put in tank.) and even some similar images (swimming right in front of the goggles--almost spot on). so, like, i'm inclined to think he has a case. but then i really liked the movie, and most of the fabulous qualities of it weren't the like bits.

2. i just spent approx. an hour trying to figure out the names of the little fish, octopus, and seahorse (tad, pearl and sheldon). and i ran out to first movie gallery (they didn't have it) and then blockbuster to buy the dvd. (it cost fuckin' $22!)

3. i started the nemo/gill slash. but i haven't quite finished the first scene.

domlijah rec

fade out by airgiodslv is a very cool domlijah story. nc-17. angst. sort of about ghosts. sort of. it's very idea-oriented, which is something that i respect.

when i first read this story, The Slashiest Scene in Sherlockian Canon jumped up and bit me on the nose and i had to go record it in cimness.

the story in written canon is less remarkable than the filmed version, however. the emotional tension/conflict between holmes and watson has been heightened for the film version. ( summarize! )

high points: snark at the chief of police, making fun of the vicar. and of course, the dramatic rescue by watson of both of them from the poisonous fumes.
low points: flashbacks. blah, blah. also the shots of the insane people's faces get old.

further comments/quotes follow in the captions for the 37 captures i took. yes, i know, but as i said, it's an extra-slashy one. and i'm strongly considering making it into a story. ( thirty-seven, yes. but i actually took more, and deleted some! )

i trimmed my hair today. or actually, yesterday. it made all the difference!

eta: you know, i think this may be one of the best stories i've ever written. and it came all spur-of-the-moment in a single evening. it's just not fair, you know? and it's not very long, and it's not one of my prized or beloved fandoms, it's just this one-off, 'writemewriteme' kinda thing. hmpf.

omg, i feel so weird. completely unable to concentrate, like, from beginning to end of a sentence. and when i get to the end i'm like 'n'huh?'

we just watched kissing jessica stein which may have a point or something, but strikes me as a not very good movie. because it's like... disjointed. yo, what happened to beginning, middle and end?

eta:and now that i mention it, it was kind of boring.

oh! i bet i feel weird partly because i haven't had my medication in three (four?) days. i haven't wanted to go to the drugstore.
