1. finish painting a chair
2. watch tv
3. attempt to read the canterbury tales and see if it puts me to sleep
4. work on kirk/spock story

which of these is most likely to calm me down and/or cheer me up? maybe i should add

5. take the dog to the park.

i read chaucer's intro, but now i'm like three quarters through it. and not very impressed.
