i'm much with the nelly furtado all of a sudden. i want a new album, i want to download new songs, i want to slash her with missy elliot, i want to make icons.
sally looks a bit like her, too, so i have a special fondness. sally's my sugah, besides holls, of course, so maybe i need to make an icon of her. later, though. it's 2 am.
southpaw526 and i started the talking garbage can story with fraser and ray. i didn't get to ask her before she left if i could continue it alone a bit, but i know i'm cute enough to get by. ;)

18 Aug 2002 02:07 amhave been making icons, playing with stamps and things i downloaded. am getting tired of 4-sides-symmetrical borders (well, look at my default icon), trying to do other things. my eyes itch and burn. it's possible that i should go to sleep.
our dining room is going to be like a fifties cartoon of french country in brilliant yellow and green with white wood and my mom's collections of antique teacups and non-antique tea pots and many and varied plates all on display. it's going to be utterly spiff because of said colors, which are just very vivid and satisfying to look at. i think it's odd mom never did really any house painting to speak of before i came along (well, and reached age, oh, 9). she relies on me for color sense. she's the artist.

well, i miss my beta horribly, but i guess you have to pay a certain price or other for having an almost magically wise one with all kinds of other experience in that that way she's likely to have a life. i just hope she gets the new puppy trained and yadda yadda and comes back to me, because i've already submitted a story to a real place without her, and that was bad enough, but now i can't talk to her about my hypothetical cimverse or about her story, which is currently the only trek slash good enough to satisfy me. thanks to her i've become quite spoiled.
on the other hand, there's a certain cachet in being a beta too, other than k'sal's reciprocal beta--i mean, sure, i'd be fiercely angry if she replaced me, but really, she's the beta in our relationship--and i'm quite proud to be
southpaw526's. would be even better if she wrote faster, but it's good for me and all, and fun, and who doesn't like to have a protégé?

random surrealisms del día:
How dare you transmogrify my chainsaw's party popper!
Are you trying to play chess with my bubble bath?
( I may have the banjo of a house-trained and magical ant, but I have the systems analyst and organist of a cheque guarantee card. )

18 Aug 2002 03:18 pmand perry is coming onto
kwirbx. humping his leg, actually, but only in a sort of tentative and affectionate manner, and he looked at him lovingly the whole time. he never does that to me--maybe he's gay? oh no. it must be because i'm his mother. well. yes. no. but kind of.

18 Aug 2002 07:10 pmthere are enough of these for their own little topic. a few random ones and plain one of all the faces from the 'strange little girl' liner notes, but of course, i can do things to them. i liked the simplicity, so my idea was just a name, but some of them suggest other things.

the castles of dr creep
18 Aug 2002 09:18 pmthe castles of dr creep
my mom met wally in her dorm in college, in the elevator. there were 15 floors or something like that. after she and my dad were married (they met, naturally, at the science fiction club--my mom a senior and my dad beginning graduate school, but they're the same age and he's just precocious) they took an apartment in lawrence, kansas, and the three of them played boggle and scrabble with folding chairs and tables and drank tea from a red teapot that has a plant in it just now, and then my dad and wally played this video game in the middle of the night on the commodore 64, which is a year older than i am. my mom sat behind them (it's a two player game) shaking her head while dad and wally 'taunted the mummies,' which are incapable of going up and down ladders, but gravitate to living flesh anyway, so that you can run back and forth indefinitely on the level above them, and they'll lumber mindlessly after you. (just imagine the fun they had with the frankensteins and the ray guns.)
the first time i solved castle sylvania by myself, i was just about the coolest person on the planet.
