i've already been spoiled TWICE for ootp. ::fume::

dominatemeplz, could you please ask the people in hpfanfic not to spoil? i already know two people the death wasn't just on the basis of post-ootp stories people have already posted, because they've given the pairings in the headers. perhaps for post-ootp fic, they should have to put everything, including the header, inside a "post-ootp" cut-tag for a while? a couple of weeks at least?

well, according to the lj slut meme, wax_jism is an adorable 1.1% of my friends list. i've met 13.8%. i didn't realize it was so high, but i suppose i would've left out the family members if i were guessing.

so i was all excited for another episode of star trek, but there are some they rerun a lot and some they barely do at all, and this happens to be one that i already have on tape--the gary seven one. in fact, i saw it on scifi in a marathon three weeks ago at doug's house. i suppose i'll content myself with setting the vcr and taping another episode of stargate. meanwhile i finished the hound of the baskervilles--slashiness notes coming later. maybe i'll have some icecream. i skipped lunch, though. so a bowl of cereal? i love jim and spock in their little suits.

i'm losing my impetus to wade through bad archives. in fact, i started in stargate with other people's recs pages. which begs the question: will i ever be ready to upload an update to my recs page? i've added an entire fandom (ie holmes/watson) and twenty more harry potter stories at least. well, not like anyone's holding her breath. ::yawn::

(no subject)

a military guy is holding kirk and sulu at gunpoint, having confiscated their stuff, when the communicator goes off.

'what was that?' says the dude.

kirk appears surprised and raises an eyebrow. 'what was what?'

it beeps again. 'what was that!'

sulu: 'i don't hear anything.'

again. 'there it was again!' says the hapless guy.

'emergency signal,' sulu mutters inexplicably, as if kirk doesn't know what the sound is.

back on the enterprise, mccoy, spock, and a bunch of others are in the transporter room. spock gives the order to beam the party up from the communicator signal.

mccoy says something like 'only one signal. what's wrong?'

'we'll know in a minute, doctor.'

they beam up the military man, still in a defensive crouch, holding the communicator and a gun. spock paces up to the transporter pad and raises an eyebrow at the man, who looks terrified. just then the communicator sounds.

'kirk to enterprise.'

'are you alright, captain?' says spock.

'yes, we're fine, spock. but, as you can see--' you can see he's suppressing the urge to sigh or something, speaking a little ponderously, 'we have another problem.'

shatner/nimoy

fantastic shatner/nimoy bunny from arena. kirk's concentrated on being shot at when spock takes shelter with him in the lee of a little bit of rock, but is shatner a bit tense and trying not to show it at that hand behind him?

one can't say they have no concept of personal space, because on most occasions they seem even hyper-aware of it.

cue panic attack as cim realizes for the first time that student loans mean paying a lot of money once a month and if you don't you get in trouble.

why did no one make sure i grasped the scariness before i signed up for college? it's not like, 'then you're out of college, and it doesn't start until you have a job, and don't read the fine print, because that doesn't ever happen,' which is what i thought. it's six months after whenever you un-enroll for any reason.

also, does anyone know where i would get a copy of my w2s or why the school doesn't have them already? i didn't think so, as it was my dad who took care of them.
